Italian denim brand Meltin’Pot will support “Who Art You?” – the third  international art contest dedicated to 18-35 year-old upcoming artists by offering a new prize – the Special Prize Meltin’Pot. The new award was created with the aim to point out Meltin’Pot’s attitude in supporting young creative and art-related initiatives.

The Special Prize Meltin’Pot will be given to the winner, chosen out of 12 finalists that have been selected from a group of 80 participants within four categories (painting, sculpture, photography and video).

Finalists will be asked to interpret Meltin’Pot’s slogan “Where life takes you” in different categories: photographers and video-makers will be able to prepare their works until 16 May; sculptors and painters will present their art pieces from 23 May. The winner will see his/her work presented in Milan’s Meltin’Pot showroom for one month, a location highly visited – not only by fashion insiders – but also by artists and creatives because of its door-to-door location with the studio of architect Fabio Novembre, who also designed the showroom’s interiors.

The “Who Art You?” contest will designate four out of the 80 selected artists – one per category – that will present their works at an art collective held on 23 May, in Fornace in Alzaia Naviglio Pavese 16, in Milano. The winners will also be awarded with the opportunity to exhibit their work in a Milan art gallery for one week in September.

As part of the new partnership between Meltin’Pot and “Who Art You?”, the Milan Meltin’Pot showroom in Via Perugino 26 has hosted the art contest’s press conference held on 6 May.
