Newcomer designer Matteo Lamandi has won the Designer for Tomorrow 2014 award by Peek & Cloppenburg and its online shop Fashion ID. The Italian designer convinced the jury, including the patron Tommy Hilfiger, with his menswear collection “Zoot Suit”. Over 700 guests celebrated the award ceremony, among them mayor of Berlin Klaus Wowereit and model Eva Padberg.

Within the next 12 months, Matteo Lamandi will be supported by an individual program. The patron Tommy Hilfiger will support him during the time at the design studios in Amsterdam and New York as well as with the development of a capsule collection for Peek & Cloppenburg next year.

The jury included Christiane Arp (editor-in-chief German VOGUE), John Cloppenburg (member of the executive management of Peek & Cloppenburg KG, Düsseldorf und Fashion ID GmbH & Co. KG), Melissa Drier (Women's Wear Daily), Bay Garnett (stylist, author), Karen Heumann (CEO  thjnk), Marcus Luft (fashion director, Gala), Annette Weber (editor-in-chief InStyle) and Michael Werner (Editor-in-Chief TextilWirtschaft).
