As VF confirmed today, Lee EMEA manager Simon Fisher has left the company at the end of June. Fisher moved to Switzerland where he starts working for Spyder, a board sports and activewear brand.

According to internal Lee sources also Gilles Laumonier, so far President Lee International, has left the denim brand. The reasons for his move are left in the dark. Sportswear International requested a statement at VF, but so far the company could neither officially confirm Laumonier's departure nor give information about a potential successor.

Instead, VF did announce that Peter Kats suceeds Fisher in his role as Vice President of Sales & DTC for Lee EMEA, effective September 1.

Kats began his career at VF in May 2013 as Vice President of Sales for Vans, where he expanded the wholesale business and elevated the overall Go-to-Market process leading to a more diversified brand and business in the marketplace. He has 20 years of working experience in the industry with a strong focus on the EMEA region.

In his new role, Kats will be responsible for defining and executing sales in key markets through a clear Go-To-Market strategy. He will also set about strengthening customer relationships across all distribution channels, in line with Lee’s brand strategy.
