The recent 27th edition of Munich Fabric Start held in Munich from Sept. 1-3, 2009 registered a slight increase in visitors. The event, which focused on fabric previews for the f/w 2010-11 season, was visited by 14,910 people, 5% more than the September 2008 edition.

With approximately 765 exhibitors from 33 countries, out of which 71 new ones and 57 participated in the denim-related Blue Zone, the event was attended by a slightly more international audience: 32% of the fairs’ visitors came from abroad, with 2% more foreign visitors than in the past. In addition to German-speaking countries, foreign visitors also came from Italy and Eastern Europe.

Among the significant brands whose representatives attended the show were Esprit, C&A, Joop!, Hugo Boss and Marc’O Polo.

Visitors also enjoyed their time in Munich. A special evening performance held during the second night of MFS drew approximately 1,000 people who appreciated spending time with visitors and exhibitors.
