Earnest Sewn has expanded into interior design. The cult brand recently unveiled a whiskey lounge for Milk Digital, the digital production house of Milk Studios in New York City.

The hip photography studio looked to Sewn to create an environment that would be an antithesis to a traditional digital facility. Subsequently, Scott Morrison and his team worked to create an antiquated look, as in a turn-of-the-century working zinc bar and a sliding barn door designed to hide a large flat-screen TV that allows clients to view on-site shoots in real time.

True to the brand’s heritage, the interior also features genuine industrial fixtures and artifacts from the early 1900s, including wood paneling salvaged from a library in Pennsylvania and windows taken from an old Remington Arms ammunitions plant.

In other news, Earnest Sewn will open a 6,000-sq.-foot Los Angeles flagship store on the corner of Beverly and Gardner in the old Town Tire building next year.
