Following a successful first edition in May, the National Chamber of Italian Fashion (CNMI) has confirmed the dates of Nov. 18 through Dec. 18 for the FW 09-10 pre-collections in Milan. The organization is responding to research that details fashion houses in Italy acquiring two-thirds of their global turnover alone through pre-collections. “With this event, fashion houses can present ahead of time in Milan and in their showrooms pre-collections, styles and trends that characterize their FW 09-10 collections,” said CNMI president Mario Boselli in a statement. “In addition to increasing the turnover of fashion companies, it will even increase the influx of national and international buyers and will confirm Milan’s leading status as a fashion capital.”
