According to discussions between Diane Von Furstenberg, President of the CFDA New York, Harold Tillman, Chairman of the British Fashion Council, Didier Grumbach, President of the Federation Français de la Couture, and Mario Boselli, President of Camera Moda Italia, there will be no changes within the international fashion calendars until 2013.

After Milan Fashion Week in September (see our reportage) and a meeting of the Italian Fashion Chamber associates and the organization's Board of Directors, Mario Boselli was asked not to operate any changes regarding the calendar in order to avoid any overlapping with other fashion weeks. “We were surprised when last September the Council of Fashion Designers of America and the British Fashion Council had announced their intention to anticipate their fashion weeks despite the agreements taken in September 2008 for the years 2009 until 2011," Boselli explained. “Moreover, in March 2010 we had communicated that Milan Fashion Week in 2012 Milan Fashion Week will take place from Sep. 19-25. We refuse the accusation by New York and London's organizations saying we didn't keep faith to our own previous agreements. At this point, organizers of the four international fashion weeks will plan a meeting for discussing further dates from 2013 on."
