Following the opening of his first boutique near Hackescher Markt at Monbijouplatz in April last year, designer Michael Michalsky has now unveiled his second Berlin store Michalsky Gallery located at Hotel Ritz Carlton on historic Potsdamer Platz.

Different from his monolabel boutique, the newly opened 70-sq.-meter Gallery spin-off functions more as a concept store carrying a broader assortment of his own lines via guest-collaborations. To this, Michalsky added stock by Berlin designer brands Kaviar Gauche and Scherer Gonzales and art pieces by the Leipzig-based artist Ritchie Richter.

Above the gallery store, the designer has also established his new showroom that will not only serve as a presentation spot for labels related press and buyers but also a studio for other brands.

The complete look of the new shopping destination was created by Michalsky himself, whose chose black matte silk for the furniture and gold for the ceilings and walls. Meanwhile, the center of the store is dominated by an antique wooden chest from Morocco, placed in a safe-like glass case that also serves as a display.
