The speculations are finally over: the acclaimed London talent Marios Schwab is the man chosen to take over from Marco Zanini at the helm of Halston. To offer our subjective view, the appointment makes perfect sense as Halston’s signature drapery and streamlined silhouette is highly compatible with Schwab’s body-con expression and finely-tuned ways with jersey manipulation. It was these very qualities that made Halston's executives decide that they’d found Marco Zanini’s successor. Schwab, who will continue to show his eponymous label at London Fashion Week, will step in as Halston’s Creative director in July. His first collection for the fashion house will be unveiled at New York Fashion Week for A/W 2010.
