“20,” the retrospective of the work and history of the Belgian avant-garde brand Maison Martin Margiela will be hosted by Somerset House in London from June 3 to September 5, 2010. Originally created and curated by Antwerp’s fashion museum in 2008, the exhibition celebrates the 20th anniversary of MMM with a focus on the designer’s artistic and conceptual approach. Following the MoMu in Antwerp and Munich’s Haus der Kunst, London's Somerset House is the third venue to showcase the development of the unconventional designer who notoriously refused to appear in public. Visitors can attend the anniversary exhibition for £5 (concessions £4; children under 12, free) from 10-6 at the Embankment Galleries, Somerset House.
