Advanstar Communications, Fairchild Fashion Group and Footwear News are teaming up to launch a new footwear show in Las Vegas next season.

Called FN Platform, the men’s, women’s and children’s showcase will feature over 600 footwear brands currently at MAGIC in an expanded format.

Complete with its own aesthetic, strategic partners, networking events and seminars, FN Platform will support the global footwear industry like no other trade event has before, organizers say.

“We saw an opportunity to expand our existing footwear presence with FN Platform by providing footwear brands and buyers the opportunity to grow and prosper in an environment that suits their needs like no other show can,” said Chris DeMoulin, President of MAGIC International and Executive Vice-President, Advanstar Fashion Group. “The MAGIC Marketplace provides a 360 degree view of what’s happening in the fashion industry, and expanding our successful WWD partnership with Fairchild to create FN PLATFORM is a natural evolution.”

Building off the success of WWD MAGIC, we’re evolving our partnership with Advanstar to create a powerful service for the industry.”

Leading the team will be Leslie Gallin, Vice President, Footwear for Advanstar’s Fashion Group and former Director of The Collections at World Shoe Association (WSA) & Sole Commerce (ENK International). She will be joined by sales veterans Belinda Pina, Sharon Barbosa and John Ruffo.
