Premium jeans brand Denham is launching its first footwear collection, which will debut for S/S 2017. The collection’s key style is a unisex runner-moccasin hybrid, available in variants such as a Runner Mocc Slip-On and a lace-up Runner Mocc Mid with an interchangeable top.

The Runner Mocc silhouette was inspired by the classic wrap-around moccasin construction, created in the 1800s by Native Americans in desert lands. The Runner Mocc Mid also has an interchangeable colored leather top; this detail was originally seen in the footwear of Canadian Aboriginals, who used the technique to mark their tribe’s origin.

Styles are crafted from premium leather and made in Portugal, available in black or cognac, and chrome-free cow leather in white. Each shoe is finished with Denham’s trademark embossed scissor logo and a lightweight molded runner sole.

The collection will be sold exclusively in DENHAM retail stores and online at denhamthejeanmaker.com.

“At Denham, we’re all fans of footwear, and combining jeans and sneakers is how we create unique looks,” commented Jason Denham, chief creative officer, Denham. “Our unisex Runner Moccasin is a high-spec, tailor-made sneaker incorporating all the best construction and material ingredients.”
