Levi’s is going to launch its Made in Japan collection worldwide. Previously only available in Japan, the denim brand now introduces the cooperation between the Levi’s design team and varying Japanese producers and artists internationally.

The collection stands for Japanese craftsmanship and high-end quality. Inspired by the beauty of Indigo, the collection shows intense colors, contrasting finishes, snow-bleaching techniques, reinforced repair-patches and Japanese boro-details.

The themes are reflected in the limited editions of the Levi’s 513 straight fit and the Barstow Western Shirt. Furthermore the classic Levi’s 501 debuts in a limited edition within the Made in Japan collection. The Japanese batik artist and colorist Yogu (Yuichiro Koguro) created a selection of hand-printed t-shirts for the collection and wall pictures in the style of Buddhist symbols.

The Levi’s Made in Japan products will be available in selected Levi’s stores and online from July 2014.
