Levi Strauss & Co. employees will take a day off work to volunteer in local communities. As part of the company’s 10th annual Community Day, around 1,500 people from Europe to the Middle East and North Africa will participate in some 60 volunteer projects. The projects range from creating information packs to help raise awareness of HIV/AIDS to developing sustainable gardens and building homes for low income families. “Taking the day off to volunteer is one of our favorite ways of demonstrating that giving back never goes out of style,” said Levi Strauss & Co. CEO, John Anderson.
