Jardine is the new US menswear brand by Nathan Bogle, former co-founding partner of Rag & Bone. The label’s name refers to Nathan’s Great Grandfather’s surname. Jardine was created with Simplicity in mind. The only direction that made sense to Bogle was to create a minimal and functional collection with refined style. Bogle notes, “I like the reductive process in design, stripping things back to their essentials and focusing on exquisite detail and construction.”
At the moment the label provides 2 collections a year. Fall 2013 includes 10 styles/40 SKU's, and Spring 2014 contains 8 styles/30 SKU's. The key pieces are the leathers and knitwear. Retail prices for denim are $175, knitwear costs $250 - $550, outerwear $600 - $900 and leather $1600 - $2000. A women’s micro-capsule that will complement the men’s collection is planned for Fall 2014. Currently the collection is sold through the online store (www.jardinedesign.com) and Blue & Cream in Manhattan and the Hamptons. Plans include expansion for 2014.
