Levi’s has opened a new bespoke two-level store on Amsterdam’s busiest shopping street, Kalverstraat. The store has a sales floor with 250sqm and a six-meter ceiling, combining the brand’s signature craftsmanship and authenticity with color and reused and restored materials such as former church benches, steel pipes or old bikes, recovered from Amsterdam’s famous canals. The store will also serve as a venue for cultural events featuring creative readings, workshops, exhibitions and performances from local artists and pioneers.

The first of these events took place yesterday evening with American-Belgian singer/songwriter Trixie Whitley performing during the official opening of the store. Moreover, to celebrate the opening, the promising young director Paul Geusebroek created an inspirational video trailer.

“Amsterdam is a key shopping destination for progressive, style-conscious consumers,” said Stefan Otte, General Manager Levi’s for Benelux and Scandinavia. “The Amsterdam Levi’s store will offer consumers the best in classic, cool and sexy Americana clothing and marks the next exciting move for Levi’s in The Netherlands.”
