During the Amsterdam Denim Days, Kings of Indigo, the Dutch denim brand, has presented its latest collaboration. As part of the Hacked project fashion duo Van Slobbe Van Benthum explores the theme of re-using by reinventing and reconstructing existing pieces of Kings of indigo, giving them new purpose.

Van Slobbe Van Benthum used Kings of Indigo’s stock items, and reconstructed the pieces by embroidering and adding and taking away details, so each piece was re-interpreted.

As result the Kings of Indigo x Hacked collection consists of a series of unique, limited edition products that will be available at the Blueprint event during Denim Days and via the Kings of Indigo website. The limited edition contains only jeans that are sold for retail prizes ranges from 139€ to 219€

“Hacked is a method, a way of thinking and a way of working that can be implemented anywhere. By starting our work with existing base material and giving it new purpose, we try to help create new ways of sustainable production. We are on the same page as Kings of Indigo when it comes to being creative in finding new ways to make the clothing industry a bit more world friendly”, stated Francisco van Benthum.
