Kingpins 2029, The Transformers is a new conference concept that will debut on 17th April as a part of Amsterdam Denim Days. The initiators are the Kingpins Show organizers and the House of Denim.

“Our concept is that the jeans industry must undergo a sea change if we want to be around in 2029,” said Andrew Olah, founder of Kingpins and The Transformers. “The Transformers are those along the supply chain that recognize that we must evolve and invent new and better ways to do everything from making dye stuffs to making fibers, weaving fabrics to laundering and finishing and everything in between.”

According to the organizers the conference “represents members of the denim community that are committed to creating, implementing and sharing the changes that need to happen in the jeans industry to make it more environmentally viable, socially responsible and financially sound by 2029.” The Transformers conference will cover topics like fibers, fabrics and finishing. Participating companies among others include Invista, Candiani Denim and Jeanologia.

Kingpins 2029, The Transformers will take place at Machinebouw- Westergasfabriek in Amsterdam.
