After four years at the helm of Arc’teryx, president and general manager Vincent Wauters will be handing over his leadership responsibilities to Jon Hoerauf, the current global commercial manager of the brand. Hoerauf, who joined the company in 2012, will become general manager and will report directly to Heikki Takala, CEO of Amer Sports.

During the past four years spent at Arc’teryx, the 41 year-old American Jon Hoerauf has helped building the brand’s global commercial organization with existing commercial partners, and supported the strategy to offer core consumers an enriched brand experience around the world. Prior to Arc’teryx, Hoerauf spent 13 years at The North Face, in various leadership roles including sales, marketing and product.

Vincent Wauter’s tenure at Arc’teryx helped the brand to grow thanks to the launch of new product categories such as footwear and avalanche safety. He introduced new core technical advancements such as their new Down Composite Mapping and the new Alpha SV Jacket. He also helped introducing innovations including the Voltair avalanche bag and the Procline ski mountaineering boot, receiving multiple industry awards. Wauter also led major investments in the Vancouver-based HQ, expanded the company’s Vancouver-based manufacturing facility, as well as increased global retail expansion.
Hoerauf will further promote a seamless transition through 2016 and beyond.
