Half a year later, apparel giant Kellwood has found its new CEO.
The Missouri-based company, which is owned by an affiliate of Sun Capital Partners and which manufacturers and markets such brands as Vince, Rebecca Taylor, Baby Phat, BLK DNM and Lamb & Flag, among others, has named Jill Granoff as its new chief executive. She replaces Michael Kramer who vacated the post in November to become COO at retail chain J.C. Penney.
Granoff, who has more than 20 years of experience in the fashion and beauty industries, most recently served as CEO at Kenneth Cole Productions Inc. Before that she was executive vice president at Liz Claiborne, Inc. where she oversaw the global businesses of Juicy Couture, Lucky Brand Jeans, Kate Spade and the company’s e-commerce and outlet businesses.
“I am excited about the opportunity to partner with Kellwood and Sun Capital to optimize the brand portfolio and enhance overall business performance,” Granoff said in a written statement. “We have a great platform to accelerate growth and profitability. I look forward to working with our talented team to deliver compelling product, merchandising and customer experiences that enable us to unlock our true potential.”
