The Napapijri Gallery Store in Milan will be hosting “Under the Moon Shadow,” an exhibition of photography by Kazutaka Nagashima, winner of the 2008 MINI Clubman Photo Award, from Dec. 3 through Jan. 20.

“Under the Moon Shadow. Emotional details of an Italy seen through the lens of Kazutaka Nagashima, in the shadow of Sarah Moon” is the full title of the exhibit curated by ITS-International Talent Support in collaboration with MINI.

The winner of the MINI Clubman Photo Award during the final weekend of the ITS#PHOTO 2008 contest, Nagashima is a 25-year-old graduate in photography from Tokyo Polytechnic University. The award gave Nagashima the opportunity to work and travel around central Italy for three days in the company of photography icon Sarah Moon. Their travels were also documented by the lens of Alberto Novelli, a specialist in travel reportage, and the result of their collaboration can be seen in the Napapijri Gallery Store, accompanied by approximately 30 photographs by Novelli.

The exhibition will be rounded out with 14 photos from “Interval,” the work submitted for this year’s ITS#PHOTO theme (“The Other…”) that helped Nagashima win the top prize.

To give an idea of the scope and quality of work presented at ITS, the exhibit also features five works by Remigiusz Pyrdol, winner of ITS#FIVE, and ten works by Jing Quek, winner of ITS#SIX.

The Napapijri Gallery Store has previously hosted “Antarctica - The Global Warning,” an exhibition by Sebastian Copeland, and “Vanishing America” by Michael Eastman.

Via Manzoni 34. The exhibition is open from 10.30 am to 7.30 pm and entry is free.
