Estral BV, company of shoe- and accessories designer Fred de la Bretonière, has a new investor; Dutch investment corporation Karmijn Kapitaal, which specializes on the international expansion of Dutch companies. The corporation took over a majority share of Estral BV and its three brands Fred de la Bretonière, Shabbies Amsterdam and Fretons. Founder of Estral BV, Fred de la Bretonière will be withdrawing himself from the executive board, but he will remain active as the designer of the company.

The goal of Estral BV partnering with Karmijn Kapitaal is to strengthen the growth of Estral BV’s three brands nationally as well as internationally.

“There is a high demand in our products abroad. I am confident that Karmijn Kapitaal, together with the current management team will be able to sustainably implement the international expansion plans,” says founder Fred de la Bretonière.

The three brands are currently sold at 12 mono-brand stores in the Netherlands, one in Belgium and at selected (online) stores internationally.
