Much-hyped sunglasses and accessories brand Illesteva has opened its first retail store at 49 Prince Street in New York City last week (October 20).
The new 500 square feet (ca. 46 sqm) Illesteva flagship will carry the brand’s full product range including optical glasses, sunglasses, bags and umbrellas, with the items’ retail prices ranging from $177 to $950.
All store displays are custom made in Brooklyn by furniture designer Kurt Schwartzbauer. Its interior is inspired by travel: wood displays remind of ski lodges and miniature Riva boats shall recall the 1960s in the Mediterranean.

To celebrate the store opening, Illesteva designers Daniel Silberman, Alina Silberman and Justin Salguero created the limited edition sunglasses style ‘Frieda Clip-On’ featuring a removable, mirrored clip-on with a printed wink design on it.

Illesteva was founded in 2009. Its glasses are handmade in France and Italy by leading manufacturers of luxury eyewear.
