Diesel (diesel.com) is debuting in homeware with the Successful Living from Diesel collection – adhering of course to its well played slogan Diesel for Successful Living.

The Italian jeanswear and lifestyle company has announced its partnership in the form of a five-year license with Italian textile homewear specialist Zucchi to create a range of home goods that will be officially presented during Milan Design Week this coming April, and will be available in department stores as well as specialist stores and selected Diesel and Zucchi boutiques from September 2008.

Diesel’s latest offspring will commence initially as a textile home line with plans to evolve the line with additions such as light design pieces, accessories and furniture, and the aim to become a complete home decor collection by Spring 2009.

Designed by an internal design team coordinated by Wilbert Dass, Diesel’s creative director, the collection will be characterised by innovative, modern and ironic design that lends itself to a vintage aesthetic, and touches on the casual living and rock ‘n’ roll attitude the Diesel brand is known for.

“I think that today decorating our homes is a way to express one’s personality,” commented Renzo Rosso, president of Diesel. “And Diesel, the 360° lifestyle brand, will surely bring great innovation in this segment. We chose to debut in interior decor design by starting from textiles because it is near to fashion, the segment we know best. Our partner Zucchi, thanks to its unbelievable know-how, its quality products and international network is the best partner we could have chosen for our successful start.”
