The second edition of 080 Barcelona Fashion will be held from September 3-5, 2008, with a total of 30 participating designers. The catwalk schedule comprises 11 designers native to Catalonia or established in Catalonia, three guest foreign designers and two invited national companies. The spring/summer 2009 collections will be shown in Pavilion 8 at Fira Barcelona.

The tight calendar includes an exhibition on the designer Miriam Ocariz and video installations by designers Txell Miras and Oscarleon. Miras will present different expressions and forms of her collection concept through various interactive projections, while Oscarleon will unveil his “Trash Lifestyle” project, which is aimed at helping children who have been victims of sexual exploitation and poverty in Cambodia.

Eleven of the participating designers have been selected from a total of 23 aspiring designers, all of whom presented their work before an international jury. Those selected designers are Bambi by Laura, EBP, Gori de Palma, Martin Lamothe, Oscarleon, Teresa Helbig, Txell Miras and zazo&brull. The schedule is further rounded off by three emerging designers from the Bressol Project: Andrea Llosa, Manuel Bolaño and Nerea Lurgain. The three guest international designers are David Steinhorst, Lutz and Petar Petrov; the two invited national ones are Alberto Tous and Estrella Archs.

Seven designers involved in the first edition of the Bressol Project will also put on shows at 080 Barcelona Fashion. Those emerging designers – winners of the 2007 Catalonia Award – include Cristiana Lapi, Crommorc, Guillén Doz, Imma Vallverdú, Krizia Robustella, Lola Cuello and Stefania Borrás.

In addition to the fashion shows, the 080 Barcelona Fashion showroom will host collections by Alberto Tous, Bambi by Laura, David Steinhorst, EBP, El Delgado Buil, gentz, Suarez, Gori de Palma, Jan iú Més, Juan Vidal, Lucía Blanco, Martin Lamothe, Oscarleon, Serguei Povaguin, Teresa Helbig, Txell Miras, Valentim Quaresma and zazo&brull.
