On 19 November, 2014, British outdoor and footwear brand Hunter will open its first flagship store worldwide on Regent Street in London. The store, which offers a sales space of 493 square meters, was designed by creative director Alasdhair Willis in collaboration with Checkland Kindleysides, British consultant for retail design.

The design of the store seizes characteristic subjects of the British country life in combination with an urban environment. Elements of the store include red barn doors and tables with mirrored surfaces to evoke an illusion of puddles of water and contrasting 5 meter LED screens that serve as the background for the staircases and stand for one of the urban parts of the store.

James Seuss, CEO: “The opening of Hunter Regent Street is a vital step in the development of the brand. After the introduction of our new global e-commerce-website, our worldwide first flagship store now offers a retail concept that will serve as the foundation for future retail-establishments in metropolises such as Tokyo and New York. It was important to us, to open the first retail presence in London’s Regent Street, (…) to stay loyal to our tradition as a British brand.”
