The much anticipated shoe department of Harrods has been unveiled – enter Shoe Heaven. Located on the fifth floor and spreading across 42,000 sq. ft  (3,900 sq. m), the space houses 17 individual boutiques and offers collections from over 50 brands including Chanel, Dior, Christian Louboutin, Manolo Blahnik, Louis Vuitton and Valentino.

David Collins Studio is the creative force behind the interior concept; the team incorporated features such as velvet banquet lounge seating and private shopping suites in order to convey an atmosphere of a five-star hotel as opposed to a traditional shoe department. Said Helen David, Harrods Fashion Director of Womenswear, Accessories, Fine Jewellery & Childrenswear: “From stilettos to sneakers, Harrods Shoe Heaven will be home to all the best shoes from the world’s leading and need-to-know designers. The space will be more ‘Penthouse’ and less ‘Shoe Floor’, creating a luxurious and sophisticated environment with flagship shops for all of our biggest brands.”

To celebrate the unveiling of the mighty floor, Harrods has launched a limited-edition “Silver Linings” collection for FW14, encompassing 37 It styles reimagined in a silver finish. Charlotte Olympia’s Kitty flats, Valentino’s Rockstuds and Manolo Blahnik’s silver brooch-adorned Ariona shoes all form part of the line-up.
