Hayashi, the Frankfurt store owned by Kerstin Görling, has recently added menswear to its assortment. Brands include Acne, Fifth Avenue Shoe Repair, Bless, Hope, Starstyling, Schiesser Revival and Levi’s Vintage. The new men’s department on the first floor was launched with a big event including a fashion show organized with Acne from Sweden and featuring models styled as puppets with porcelain faces and mouths shaped as little hearts on a makeshift catwalk extending over steps. The store, which was opened in 2007, started out first with womenswear and a big focus on Scandinavian brands such as Acne and Fifth Avenue Shoe Repair but eventually added French brands and designers from Berlin as well as Levi’s Vintage, footwear by Chie Mihara and Flip Flop, and jewelry by Sabrina Dehoff and CPH Copenhagen.
