Iconic Hawaiian casual wear maker Reyn Spooner has launched an online storefront featuring its brand new premium collection of shirts, shorts and board shorts. Originally launched in Honolulu in 1956, the brand hired recently CFDA Award recipient Gordon Thompson to tweak its offerings for a younger, fashion-forward consumer. Drawing on its archives of 2,000+ unique, trademarked prints, the designer updated the collection with offerings such as pop-over shirts inspired by Tahitian block art to an expanded swim collection; Reyn Spooner’s long-admired reverse-print tops and shorts remain in the collection. Price points range from $75 for swim trunks, $85 for shirts, and $95 for shorts. A fuller collection featuring long-sleeve shirts, trousers and swimwear has been planned for the fall.
