After 10 years of producing hard goods in the skateboard industry, Habitat Skateboards is launching a footwear line that will debut in stores this February. “Footwear is a great platform for the evolution of Habitat. Pre-season sales have exceeded our goals and we are excited for the full product launch,” said Chris Carter, founder of the Ohio-based brand. In collaboration with Charley Harpers, a mid-century wildlife artist, the first collection will include Harpers’ artwork printed in the insoles with coordinating exterior fabric colors. To represent the footwear line, skaters Guru Khalsa, Marius Syvanen, Austyn Gillette, and Alex Davis will be the faces of the brand. The shoes will retail from $60 to $70.
