Whilst the Berlin trade show landscape seems to become more and more divided and extend to a growing number of formats and show grounds each season, two (related) concepts have now merged together.

The sustainably oriented order platforms Greenshowroom and Ethical Fashion Show will take place under one roof from January 2015, moving to Berlin’s Postbahnhof, which had previously become unused after Capsule announced to cancel its upcoming winter edition in Berlin.

“With the bundling, both shows will win appeal. At the same time, we will increase the growth potential of both shows in the new location. Therefore we are taking the next big step,” said Olaf Schmidt, vice president textile & textile technologies at Messe Frankfurt, organizer of the two show concepts.

However, the organizers want to stick to the established directions of the two shows: whilst the Ethical Fashion Show hosts sustainably producing street and casual wear, premium and high fashion labels from the same background will be showcased at Greenshowroom.

With an area of 3,000 sqm, Postbahnhof offers new layout options and larger booth spaces for the exhibiting brands. Ethical Fashion Show will be located at the building’s ground floor; Greenshowroom will occupy the first floor. There will also be a catwalk show, highlighting collection pieces from both fairs.
