Pitti Uomo has just announced the names of its special designer guests for the upcoming June 2016 edition.

Gosha Rubchinskiy is the Menswear Guest Designer of this edition. This young Russian designer’s research combines the hard and tormenting aesthetics of post-Soviet youth culture with smart sportswear elements and artistic concepts from photography and movies – true passions and essential points in his training and development. Since 2012, his brand has been produced and distributed by Comme des Garçons. For the June edition of Pitti Uomo he will present his collection together with a photography project created for the event.

Visvim will participate as Designer Project guest. This Japanese brand by Hiroki Nakamura, founder and designer, is named after a declination of the Latin word “vis”, a combination of strength and speed. American-inspired workwear refreshed by high-tech design and high-quality and exclusively developed materials are the main characteristics of this brand. Visvim offers clothes and footwear featuring a complete correspondence between heritage content and function.

Two Italian guests will also be celebrated at the Pitti Italics events. Fausto Puglisi has Sicilian origins despite the fact that he lived and worked between New York, Milan and Paris. His work reflects traditional sartorial apparel enriched by color-block, bias cuts, metal appliqués and hand embroideries. Jet-setters such as Madonna, Katy Perry, Beyoncé and Rita Ora love the-one-of-a-kind items he designed for them. He will present his menswear collection at Pitti.

Another Italian designer Lucio Vanotti will be protagonist at Pitti Italics. Born in Bergamo, North of Milan, in 1975, after completing his studies at the Istituto Marangoni, he launched his brand in 2002. Essential sartorial skills and an elegant and unisex look characterize his minimalist aesthetic philosophy.
