Global Brand Marketing Inc. (GBMI), which has had continued worldwide success with its numerous footwear brands, including Dryshod, Diesel and Nautica, has announced a reorganizing strategy to establish direct control over its wholesale distribution in the U.K.

Where GBMI previously used local distributors in Britain for all of its brands, the move has involved hiring Steven Price Brown to head up GBMI for the entire country. Price Brown has a 15-year history in the fashion industry. He launched British company Ed Hardy & Bensimon and has worked with the likes of Gorland Ltd. (D&G, Just Cavalli, Versace) and UK brands Carter and Lambretta.

Reporting to Roelof de Leeuw, Managing Director for GBMI Europe in Amsterdam, Price Brown will be responsible for all sales, marketing, operational and logistical aspects of GBMI’s expansion in that region.

"While GBMI’s brands have experienced great success in the U.K., we feel there is a great deal of untapped potential,” said Killick Datta, ceo of GBMI in Santa Barbara, CA.

“We are committed to developing a world class business overseas, building upon the success we are experiencing in the U.S. Already a global leader in lifestyle footwear, we are aggressively moving into the European marketplace where we are seeing tremendous demand for each of GBMI’s brands.”
