For its project for Carlo Pazolini Milan, Giorgio Borruso Design received the 2011 International Architecture Award for Best New Global Design which is presented by The Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design and The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.

For the 2011 awards, The Chicago Athenaeum and The European Centre received hundreds of applications regarding projects for new buildings, landscape architecture and urban planning from the most important firms practicing globally. A total of 90 buildings and urban planning projects from 29 nations were finally selected. The entire list of the winning projects can be viewed on www.chi-athenaeum.org.

The awarded projects are being exhibited at “The City and The World” annual symposium in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in conjunction with the 13th annual International Architecture Bienniel that is running until October 30, 2011. After Argentina, the exhibition will travel in Europe and the United States.

This is the 10th international design award received by the collaboration of Giorgio Borruso Design and Carlo Pazolini for the iconic project of Carlo Pazolini Milan since its opening in fall 2010.
