The kids division of Diesel (diesel.com) and Les Jardins d’Avron, the producers and distributors of John Galliano prêt-à-porter (johngalliano.com), have announced a five-year licensing agreement for the production and worldwide distribution of John Galliano’s new children’s ready-to-wear line. The licence agreement will start with the Fall/Winter 2008-2009 season and the first collection will be presented to international press and buyers in January 2008.

The agreement is the result of the strategic decision of the two companies to dedicate significant resources to the development of this rapidly growing segment of children’s ready-to-wear. The first collection will comprise around 100 items each for boys and girls aged 4 to 14, as well as some accessories. The brand hopes the design skills of John Galliano combined with Diesel’s experience in the production and distribution of children’s wear will be a guarantee for success.

Said Galliano: "I am very excited at this opportunity to expand our products base and to collaborate with a world leader like Diesel. The synergy between two creative companies like ours will create a great success in children’s wear".
