Vincent Senecat will be the new director of Galeries Lafayette Berlin. Starting in August, the 37-year-old succeeds Alexandre Liot, who will become the new director of Galeries Lafayette Marseille Saint-Ferréol, leaving Berlin after one and a half years.

Senecat has been working for the French department store from the very beginning of his career. Having started as a trainee at the store in Dijon, he worked as a sales representative in the menswear department, and later became manager of the menswear departments at Galeries Lafayette in Montargis and Reims. In 2004, he became director of Galeries Lafayette Saintes, one year later of the subsidiary in Béziers and finally headed the store in Marseille Saint-Ferréol, where Alexandre Liot is heading now.

Vincent Senecat: “I am very happy to further continue the development of Galeries Lafayette outside of France. The most important goal for me is the enforcement of the service orientation of the store. Our customers should be treated as guests, feel comfortable and their visit of our house should become a very special experience for them. In addition, we have the aim to further establish the store at Friedrichstrasse as a fashion house true to Galeries Lafayette’s slogan ‘Vive la Mode’.” Moreover, Senecat will continue to focus on events in terms of customer loyalty, as well as the store’s private brands, and in addition is planning to refurbish the ground floor of the store.
