G-Star has just signed a new partnership in the Italian market with A.R.P. (Advanced Retail Project) Group that will start from opening a store in Rome in July 2013.

The A.R.P. luxury retail group is a specialist in haute de gamme and luxury goods distribution. It owns the sophisticated concept restaurant Molto and Mountain Affair, a new concept store and outdoor-inspired brand. The group is also involved in managing the Illy Café, Ferrari and North Face retail distribution.

"Managing a group that works with best-in class-brands, I'm happy to start this project since G-Star represents excellence in denim," commented Lorenzo Bassetti, general manager, A.R.P. “Thanks to this agreement we will start opening G-Star stores in Rome and Milan and in other important Italian cities."

Camiel Slaats, sales manager G-Star said: "Today G-Star, thanks to its over 500 franchise stores, including Asia, is reinforcing its worldwide presence. Opening a flagship store in Rome underlines our identity as a global luxury brand. We are happy we found a solid partner in A.R.P, and are sure we will be able to build a true G-Star brand experience in Italy."

In July 2013, G-Star will open a prestigious 400sqm flagship store in Via del Tritone, in the centre of Rome, to be inaugurated officially in September.

G-Star, founded 25 years ago, has opened over 500 monobrand stores worldwide through partnerships and franchising agreements. Today it is distributed in 6,500 stores in over 68 countries.
