Continuing its mission to strengthen the relationship between clothing purveyors and sustainable mills, the UK based organization Sustainable Angle recently launched Future Fabrics Virtual Expo – an online tool designed to extend the lifespan of the trade event Future Fabrics Expo, which held its third event in London in September 2013. Its digital equivalent offers continuous online access to a curated range of sustainable fabrics and mills, as well as a wealth of associated information. Allowing buyers, designers and brands to source and read up about fabrics with a reduced environmental impact, the initial version features six mills that collectively present a diverse overview of sustainable fabrics, from organic cotton denim and British wool through to sustainable silks and low impact leather.

The second installment of the informative online tool will be unveiled in spring 2014– this edition promises to be more in-depth and advanced with a wider spectrum of mills and materials due to be incorporated.
