The last edition of White, Milan’s womenswear show held in the Zona Tortona area from 27 to 29 February 2016, was attended by 21,150 visitors, and registered +15% more foreign visitors when compared to the February 2015 edition. Most foreign visitors came from Far East (China, Japan, and Korea), Europe (Germany, France and Spain) and the US.

Two new projects debuted for the occasion - China Calling - held in collaboration with talent scouter Sonja Long Xiao, also founder of Alter, Shanghai showroom and concept store and aimed at presenting young Chinese designers – and Time to South – launching young Southern Italy designers.

Most interesting aspect characterizing many collections on show was the emphasis on elaborate products.

Strong Prints and patterns
Strong prints and patterns characterized many collections as seen at Rolling Acid, Chinese designer fashion brand decorated with designs by Dutch artist Kavelaars, and as presented by the German fashion brand Maison Common. Essentiel launched its own interpretation of the bomber opting for golden jacquard brocade material.

Denim is back
Many interpretations of denim were seen around White. Aged and broken as Care Label has interpreted it or added with golden sequin applications as presented by Don’t Cry Milano, or essential and unwashed as launched by Chrisou By Dan. Also cool was Korean designer Yohanix’s interpretation of denim as seen during the shop organized for this special guest: he opted for long denim trenches covered with brogues and baroque decors.
