Change at the head of Perry Ellis Europe (Original Penguin, Farah etc.): As arose today, Francisco Gonzalez-Meza Hoffmann, the group’s current European managing director, is leaving the company to pursue new career paths. Elliot Brown has been appointed his successor.

Brown has previously been vice president/general manager at Wolverine Worldwide, overseeing its heritage brands. Prior to that, he held senior commercial roles at Barbour, Converse and Levi’s.

In his new role at Perry Ellis, Brown will be responsible for overseeing the Original Penguin, Farah and Callaway apparel brands. Especially Farah and Original Penguin have expanded significantly within the UK and rest of Europe over the last several years. (We spoke to Gonzalez-Meza Hoffmann on the brands’ expansion only recently, read our feature, published in the current UK Issue of Sportswear International, here).

Based in Perry Ellis’ European office in London, Brown reports to Stanley Silverstein, President International Development and Global Licensing at Perry Ellis International.
