For their January edition the partner fairs firstly put a social movement in the limelight of their show concept: the #girlsquad, which comes in the shape of women-led fashion labels as well as female creative collectives and influencer gangs. Among over 1,600 accessory and ready-to-wear brands, there will also be trend topics such as recycling or faux fur and novelties from interior design to be discovered for fall/winter ‘17.
Who’s Next is as usual divided into 5 areas: Fame, Private, Trendy, Urban and Studio. The traditional trends forum will this time be replaced by a magazine called “Girl Talk” available at all entrances to the theme sections in order to provide visitors with trend boards for each area of the trade show.
In the Trendy and Urban areas of Who’s Next, the Pantheone brand, led by a young Parisian and her team will present their ready-to-wear line. Other attendant girl crew labels are Blake Seven, Nola Nova, Ninii and Jamais sans rouge à lèvres. At the "Retromania“ space in the Urban area, fair visitors can discover urbanwear vintage pieces from the ‘90s by Champion, Fila, Ellesse, Serio Tacchini and more. Additionally, numerous events will be offered linked to urban culture, including a workshop for customizing sneakers.
The Fame area will present the “Pièces” collective by Julia Van Hagen, which unites five craftswomen who designed ceramics, velvet loafers, decoration, cushions, towels and more for the project. The objects are displayed by the Lebanese artist Hala Salem. Other (of course female-led!) exhibiting brands and gatherings at Fame are Hôtel Bohème, Britney Pompadour, Succulente and Maillo Design.
Premiere Classe will issue the Dress Code Festival, exhibiting a selection of young French accessory, ready-to-wear and lifestyle brands such as Ra+Re, Be Parisian and Ypsylone.
Another female collective presenting at the tradeshow is the lifestyle pop-up Klin d’Oeil, presenting the different works of female French newcomers.
In addition to all that girl power, even the entire music program of the trade shows will be brought by the ladys collective “Les Femmes s’en Mêlent”.
The fairs will take place from January 20 to January 23, 2017 at Paris Porte de Versailles; Who's Next in halls 2.2, 4 and 7.1 and Premiere Classe in hall 3.
