Flashback to ’80s running – that could be the subtitle of the newest collaboration by Puma. The sports giant has teamed up with German sneaker aficionado, retailer Solebox, to create a limited edition of the iconic ’80s runner, the R698. Sharing the same features as the Disc Blaze, the R698 is an expansion upon Puma's Trinomic technology collection that was first introduced in the early 1980s. The shoe is made out of soft suede overlays and lightweight athletic mesh panels. The special colorway of the R698 Solebox in white/steel gray/black, with a slash of vivid colour pops in florescent pink and blue atoll, brings us back to that unforgettable decade. The crew at Solebox have even added a special highlight: laces in vibrant blue that start to blink when the shoe is moving. This must-have-item was exclusively made for Solebox and is available as of Apr. 18 only at the Solebox store in Berlin.
