French heritage label Façonnable has opened its first ever Façonnable Jeans shop in the heart of Nice’s premium shopping area and at the same time the birthplace of the Façonnable brand. On 170sqm, the shop that is located on 10 Rue Paradis, presents the whole lifestyle collection that features more than just superior quality five-pockets for men. A wide range of shirts, from the handcrafted patchwork to the Japanese chambray, are key pieces next to soft khakis, washed cotton polos and t-shirts, sporty jackets and blousons, along with easy-going accessories such as canvas shoes, bags, caps, belts, scarves, pocket squares and handmade ties.

The shop exudes the laid-back attitude of Façonnable Jeans and was conceived by Jeffrey Hutchinson and executed by the Façonnable in-house team of architects. The interior reflects the spirit of a tailor’s atelier taken over and being refreshed by his son, mixing original inherited fixtures with more contemporary material, art and culture alongside tradition.

Façonnable was originally founded in the ‘50s by Jean Goldberg as a menswear brand. Since the acquisition of Façonnable by M1 group in July of 2007, the brand entered a new era with building up its heritage and craftsmanship. The collections for both menswear and womenswear are available in the Façonnable boutiques and selected stores worldwide. Façonnable Jeans was launched for s/s 2011 and is inspired by the relaxed lifestyle of the Côte d’Azur.
