Aitor Throup will leave G-Star Raw and will focus on new challenges through his own studio. 

Throup joined the company in 2013 and became G-Star’s executive creative director in 2016 while developed forward-thinking denim innovation culture for the brand. He was responsible for setting up and directing the “Raw Research” brand and innovation platform. 

Throup commented: “Both my studio and I are grateful to G-Star Raw for the opportunity to develop and implement our multi-disciplinary approach to the fields of research, design and development. I would like to personally thank the brand for allowing me to implement my vision of denim innovation through the Raw Research platform. The past few years have been incredibly valuable and memorable."

“Aitor has contributed on many levels to the success of G-Star in the past five years but most of all he played an important role in further developing our recognizable creative handwriting and attributing to the image of our brand,” said Rob Schilder, CEO, G-Star Raw.

G-Star’s own design team will now be responsible for maintaining and building the brand’s creativity moving forward.
