The upcoming edition of Kingpins Transformers, the biannual conference focusing on the social, environmental and economic challenges facing the denim industry, will take place on October 24, 2017 on the eve of Kingpins Amsterdam show.

 

A topic of discussion of this edition will be women in managerial positions in the denim industry in different segments of the supply chain–from cotton growing to marketing, from denim mill and laundry to brand. The spotlight will be set on insider professionals speaking about their roles and stories.

 

Participants will be: Alice Tonello, marketing and R&D manager, Tonello (Italy); Amy Wang, board director and general manager (China); Sedef Uncu Aki, R&D planning & operations director, Orta Anadolu (Turkey); Tricia Carey, director global business development, Denim Lenzing Fibers (USA); Daniela Della Rosa, director/founder, DDR Law Firm (Italy); Gry Nissen, creative design director (Denmark); Thecla Schaeffer, chief marketing officer, G-Star Raw, the Netherlands; Amy Leverton, denim trend forecaster and consultant (USA); Sabine Kühnl, editor-in-chief, Sportswear International Magazine (Germany).

 

Moderators of the event will be Andrew Olah, founder, Kingpins Show & Transformers, and CEO, Olah Inc. (USA), together with Mariette Hoitink, founder and managing director, HTNK (the Netherlands).

 

The event will take place at Westerunie, Klonneplein 4-6, Amsterdam, from 9 am to 2:30 pm.
