For S/S 2014 Edwin Europe has presented an outstanding selection of items developed in collaboration with the creative team from the well-known laundry Martelli Lavorazioni Tessili.

The result of the collaboration was a series of Edwin five-pocket jeans with unique subtle nuances and character obtained by hand-finished wash techniques.

Most innovative were jeans models employing a 12.8 oz Rainbow Selvage Denim treated with different washing and treatments. For instance, Martelli’s G-Wash program uses some natural looking wash processes that stay true to the look and feel of naturally worn-in denim, finished by hand. The program replicates the natural wear process of a pair of jeans that has been heavily worn for approximately two years. More specifically, there are different steps of this treatment that reach different usage effects. G5 treatment is the first stage and features knee shaping and 3D hand scraping. G6 and G7 are respectively the second and third stages featuring knee shaping, 3D hand scraping and dirt effects. G8 is the fourth and final stage in this process with knee shaping, 3D hand scraping and abrasions, reproductions of “hand stitched repairs” and dirt effects.

These special jeans models are already available at the Edwin stores in London and Paris and across selected retailers across Europe and the brand’s e-commerce website.
