Los Angeles-based fashion company Original Retro Brand has teamed with the creators of a fictional film called Exit 131 to create a line of T-shirts that display the film's message and which will be distributed to financial contributors to the movie. The feature-length film tells the story of a small town football star, returning home in search of forgiveness for the death of 15-year-old girl he knew in high school. The film explores the serious topics of underage drinking and teen driver distractions from many angles, examining the effect the crash has had, not only on the family and friends of the victim, but those of the driver as well.

Working together with Original Retro Brand, Exit 131 designed high-end, boutique quality T-shirts with various state license plate logos reading “NO PHONE,” “DNT TXT” and “DZGN8D” (Designated). This gives people the opportunity to support this initiative by making a 100% tax-deductible donation. In return they receive one of the license plate T-shirts, as a gift, allowing them to spread their own personal message of road safety every time they wear their shirt.

Exit 131 is also looking to create co-fundraising opportunities with the apparel industry. The money is raised under the fiscal sponsorship of From the Heart Productions, a 501(c)(3) non profit organization dedicated to funding films that are “unique and make a contribution to society.”
