Etnies has teamed up with the US freestyle motorcross team, the Metal Mulisha. The footwear brand is saluting the team’s 10th anniversary with a collaboration featuring Metal Mulisha graphics on its Fader and Chrome models for 2009. The Fader Black/Black/White will carry the trademark Etnies icon logo integrated into the heel, with elastic tongue-centering straps, a padded tongue and collar. It retails for €75, while the Chrome Black/Gold completes the range and retails for €90. The limited edition shoes will be sold starting from July.

The shoes reflect the team’s long history of being pioneers or, as they refer to themselves, “the most bad-ass motocross team in the world.” Co-founder Brian Deegan was on the Etnies team prior to founding the Metal Mulisha in 1999; fellow Mulisha members Jeremy “Twitch” Stenberg, Todd Potter, Josh Grant, Seth Enslow, Luke Urek, Nixey Danielson and Beau Manley are also members of the Etnies team.

The relationship between Etnies and Metal Mulisha is very strong. Etnies continues to collaborate on new projects with Metal Mulisha and with individual team riders who happen to be sponsored by Etnies.
