Young contemporary womenswear is heating up once again in the US, with the arrival of foreign brands. The latest, Eryn Brinie, already has 35 stores in Korea, but recently opened its first Stateside store on Broadway in downtown New York. Inspired by “French chic” and known for its feminine, flou-like separates, including coats, jackets, dresses, denim, leggings and accessories, all for under $150, the company is one of four brands designed and produced by Avista Inc. in South Korea. Two of those, Kaylee Tankus and BNX, already have a substantial presence in the American markets.
