Energie has enlarged its product range with a new line of eyewear. The Italian fashion brand unveiled its new collection of glasses at MIDO, the international optics, optometry and ophthalmology exhibition.

The collection, a mix of vintage and futuristic looks, comprises 12 styles of glasses and six sunglasses. Glasses focus on rich contrasts, bright colors and patterns inspired by the S/S 2009 apparel collection and blended with materials such as synthetics and steel according to ’60s designs. Sunglasses are more sport-style driven. Motorcross, skiing and sailing are sources of inspiration with a twist of rock ’n’ roll.

The expansion into eyewear falls in line with Sixty’s strategy. “This new challenge is very exciting for us,” says Renato Rossi, Sixty Group CEO and Co-Founder. “It represents the natural development of Energie to a kind of total look.”

The collection stems from a new five-year partnership with licensee Vecellio that is responsible for the production, distribution and sale of the products. The glasses and sunglasses by Energie will be sold starting next spring at all Energie stores and selected retailers.
